Last August, The Hollywood Reporter did their best hollywood reporting to share that a Britney Spears biopic is on the way, based off of her memoir The Woman in Me. Naturally, the number one question on everyone’s minds following the announcement was who would play the pop star in the movie, with names like Tate McRae, Sabrina Carpenter, and Natalie Portman (Spears’ alleged choice, alongside Selena Gomez) entering the conversation.
Another potential baby Britney? Millie Bobby Brown, who shared during a 2022 appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show” that she’s long dreamt of portraying the star. “When I look at pictures of her, I feel like I could tell her story in the right way and hers only,” she said at the time.
And though conversation surrounding the film has been generally hush-hush, Brown's latest look is telling us that she might've gotten her screen test. That … or she's working through some method manifestation.

In a set of Instagram photos posted February 2, the 20-year-old stunned fans with a head of platinum hair—a far cry from the auburn locks we’ve gotten used to over the years. Better yet, try reckoning this version of her hair with the shaved-head-rocking Eleven we first met on Stranger Things in 2016—it’s nearly impossible.

When I say these strands are blonde, I mean they are blonde. We don't know who exactly had the pleasure of performing the dye job, but its safe to say they knew their way around a bleach bowl.

Styled in a smooth, middle-parted blowout, Brown's strands are an icy shade that's so very 2003 Britney. She knows it, too—she decorated her Instagram post with symbols of the Y2K era like dial-up internet bars, butterflies, and the word "hot." She also set the post to the tune of "Who Do You Think You Are" by the Spice Girls.
