It’s been quite the year for miss Gracie Abrams. She opened for Taylor Swift on a little thing called The Eras Tour, had a very viral hit with her single “That’s So True” and a TikTok trend to match. All that culminated in her second Grammy nomination for Best Pop Duo Performance for “Us,” featuring Swift herself. And that’s not even mentioning her very major micro bob, which was one of the most-copied haircuts of the year.
So, it’s only fitting that she took to the red carpet at the 2025 Grammy Awards in a look that showed off her now iconic hair. Luckily, we have the scoop straight from her hairstylist, Bobby Eliot. Ahead, all the exclusive details on how he created her effortless bob for the evening.

Eliot wanted the look to perfectly complement the pop start's custom Chanel gown. "We wanted the hair to be effortless and simple to complement the dress, and for it to feel moveable and soft," he tells Byrdie. "The sharpness of the bob adds a modern contrast to the delicate chiffon hood, while the high-gloss finish enhances the overall elegance of the look. We kept the hair styling minimal to allow the intricate details of the dress—like the velvet belt, satin camellia, and jeweled buttons—to take center stage."
Attached to the off-the-shoulder dress was a sheer butter yellow veil that covered Abrams' head. Thank goodness, we could still see her sleek chin-length bob through the fabric. Her hair was straight and super-shiny, with the ends curled softly around her ears. "We wanted the hair to be effortless and simple to complement the dress and for the hair to feel moveable and soft," adds Eliot.
How to Get the Look
Eliot started by washing and towel-drying the pop star’s hair with Briogeo’s Farewell Frizz Smoothing Shampoo and Smoothing Conditioner before using Tangle Teezer’s The Ultimate Detangler to gently smooth and detangle. Then, he applied Briogeo’s Style + Treat Yuzu + Plum Oil Full Miracle Styling Foam from roots to ends, as well as some of the brand’s Blow Dry Perfection & Heat Protectant Crème. “In tandem, the products provide heat protection and volume, smooth the hair and minimize frizz,” he explains.

Then, the stylist went in with Wavytalk’s Turblow Pro, drying the hair until it was about 80% dry. He finished off the blowout with the brand’s Heatwave Pro, creating a high-gloss finish. Finally, he used Wavytalk’s Cool Curl to bevel her ends towards the ears.
The finishing touch? Briogeo’s Style + Treat Yuzu + Plum Oil Sleek Stick to tame down any flyaways and add some extra shine.
Her Chanel Bride Moment and Soft Glam

It makes sense that Abrams' hair look was inspired by her custom Chanel—it's truly stunning. She was giving bride in a pale yellow column gown, complete with off-the-shoulder sleeves and a rosette detail at the front. Her veil was connected to her dress at the shoulders, which also featured long, trailing bows. A black belt and simple black heels completed the look.
For makeup, the star worked with her go-to makeup artist, Emily Cheng, who used a full-face of Ilia for Abram’s soft glam. As always, her base was glowy and natural, letting her natural freckles shine through. Her brows were fluffy and cheeks flushed, with the star of the show being her soft smoky eye. Cheng applied a heavy dose of waterliner, and buffed on a warm brown shadow. Nude lips were the cherry on top of the romantic look. Swoon!
