As it turns out, no one is better suited for winter than Elle Fanning. On one hand, her famous blonde hair and constant glow lend themselves so well to the look of the frosty season. On the other, she just wore a seriously good suit—a gray Saint Laurent number styled by Samantha McMillen.

But let’s get back to the hair, shall we? While promoting A Complete Unknown in London on Monday, the 26-year-old showed off the most perfect lob styled by her go-to hairstylist, Jenda Alcorn. With her dark roots peeking through, her blonde strands were eased to one side of her head in a strong side part—you know the end of the teasing comb put in work getting it that straight—and secured with a bobby pin.

The artist added a slight curl throughout the shoulder-length cut, the waves framing Fanning’s face gorgeously. The secret here? A little texture brings your cut some necessary warmth for the chilly season. While a sleek, straight lob is classic, adding some curve bring it to a new, much more festive place. And it’s so easy to recreate—just grab your flat iron and twist away. Finish with a bobby pin like Elle for a cute retro touch.

Alcorn wasn’t the only one with a beauty tip to share, either. Erin Ayanian Monroe, who crafted the actress’s dewy makeup look, shared exactly how she applied the perfect soft-brown glossy eyeshadow.

“I just used a brown L’oreal eyeliner pencil and blurred it with a smidge of clear lipgloss,” she shared in an Instagram comment. The full lip came courtesy of a matching lipstick and liner (perhaps it’s L’oreal’s Colour Riche Satin Lipstick in the blushed nude Toasted Almond?) and Fanning’s freckles shined through thanks to her fresh complexion, complemented by a rosy blush swept across her nose and cheekbones.
Yeah, this look will suit us just fine—for many years to come.
